4 Communication Tools Entrepreneur Need

We hear it time and time again: communication is key. It’s essential to the connection between you and your audience, and if you’re not communicating in a way they can understand, all of your bright ideas and hard work will be lost on them. I’ve put together a list of a few excellent communication tools that can help you bridge the gap and improve communication, whether it be team, visual, or individual.

Slack. Looking for an awesome way to communicate with your team that’s personal, fun, and way more convenient than slow email ping pong? Slack has direct instant messaging (to communicate with  colleagues), open channels (for more “public” matters like company-wide updates), and private channels (for small team projects or sensitive information). It integrates with a ton of other tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Mailchimp, etc), and since it’s available on nearly every device for iOS and Android, you’re /giphy winning.

Canva. Visuals are key in communication. They help us clearly process information, make connections, and are often more exciting than the written word. Cool diagrams and infographics, however, can often be time consuming and difficult to create. Canva allows you to choose from thousands of striking layouts, images, filters, icons, shapes, and fonts, for whatever graphic you choose to create. After Canva, you’ll be able to fool anyone into thinking you’re a design pro (and I won’t tell).

Flyp. When you’re starting a business, you want to make sure you have clear divide between your work and personal life. Flyp gives you additional numbers on your iPhone or Android so you can have a separate number for your new ventures, and it comes with some serious perks. You can choose your area code, select a number, and even record a new voicemail. Best of all, the call quality is the absolute highest since it goes through your cellular network and not WiFi or data.
Dropbox. Dropbox is perhaps the best online ways to store, sync, and share your files. Since it leverages cloud storage, you can upload videos, photos, documents, and access them anywhere. You can also sync desktop folders with Dropbox, so when you drag a file into that folder, it automatically populates online. Dropbox integrates with nearly any device: computer, phone, tablet. You can can save and access files from any of them and have it all in one organized virtual filing cabinet, just with way less confusion and dust.
